Epithalon, usually written epitalon in the research literature, is a four-amino-acid peptide modelled on the peptides of the pineal gland. People buy it for the biology of ageing: in human cells it switches on telomerase and lengthens telomeres, and in older people it restored the night-time release of melatonin. Sold as research material, not as a medicine.

What is in the vial
We stock Epithalon in one version: a 10 mg vial from Bio-Peptide for 35 EUR. Two 1 ml ampoules of solvent come with it. For a peptide this short, 10 mg is a generous supply. Dissolved in 1 ml it gives 10 mg per millilitre, which is 100 mcg per unit on a U-100 insulin syringe. Both ampoules, 2 ml, give 50 mcg per unit and a finer scale. The arithmetic is explained in the guide on reconstitution.
What the studies showed
In cultured human fibroblasts that had no telomerase, epitalon switched on its production and lengthened the telomeres. In a follow-up study by the same team, ageing fibroblasts that stopped dividing at the 34th passage made 10 extra divisions with epitalon. In 2025 an independent team at Brunel University London confirmed dose-dependent telomere lengthening in normal human cells.
In mice given epitalon once a month for life, maximum lifespan was 12.3 percent longer and chromosome damage in the bone marrow was 17.1 percent lower. In older monkeys and in elderly people, pineal peptide preparations restored the night-time melatonin peak and its daily rhythm, most clearly where the pineal gland was working below par.
What the studies do not show
Mean lifespan of the mice did not change; only the longest-lived animals lived longer. Human studies are small and measure markers such as melatonin rather than disease outcomes. A 2026 review notes that there is no large randomised trial and no data on how long epitalon stays in the human body. Part of the older work concerns epithalamin, the pineal extract, rather than epitalon itself.
Status
Epithalon is not an approved medicine in the European Union or the United States. In July 2026 an FDA advisory committee voted to add epitalon to the US list of substances for compounded medicines, for insomnia. That is an advisory opinion, not an approval. The World Anti-Doping Agency list for 2026 does not name it. Its category S0 covers substances without approval for human use, so athletes who are tested should check with their anti-doping body. We publish no dosing schedules.
Handling and verification
Keep the powder and the solution refrigerated at 2 to 8 degrees, as described in how to store peptides. Check the code on the box as described in check your product. We ship within Poland and abroad. Outside Poland shipping costs 30 EUR paid in advance or 80 EUR cash on delivery, the same for every country. Details: shipping and payments.
Questions
How is Epithalon different from epithalamin?
Epithalamin is an extract of many pineal peptides, while Epithalon is a single synthetic peptide of four amino acids modelled on it.
Does Epithalon lengthen telomeres?
In cultured human cells it does, as two independent teams have shown. There are no studies measuring telomeres in people after epitalon.
Does Epithalon help with sleep?
In older monkeys and elderly people it restored the night-time release of melatonin, the sleep hormone. We found no studies with sleep itself as the outcome.
How much is one syringe unit?
With 10 mg dissolved in 1 ml it is 100 mcg per unit on a U-100 syringe, and with 2 ml it is 50 mcg.
