What is in the vial
Bio-Peptide and Genheal fill 1 mg vials, Nouveaux Ltd. fills 2 mg, which is the largest follistatin vial in this catalogue. A 1 mg vial with 1 ml of bacteriostatic water gives 1 mg per millilitre; the 2 mg vial with 2 ml gives the same concentration and twice the content. Where the striking results come from
The dramatic pictures used to advertise myostatin blockade come from mice bred without the myostatin gene. Those animals have different muscle physiology from animals and people with a working gene, so the comparison does not transfer.

What happened to the one blocker that reached people
ACE-031, a decoy receptor aimed at the same pathway, is the molecule in this group that did reach clinical trials. Those trials were halted on safety grounds in 2011 and the programme closed in 2013, after participants developed nosebleeds, bleeding gums and small dilated blood vessels in the skin.
