rHGH is somatropin, recombinant human growth hormone: a 191-amino-acid protein with a sequence identical to the hormone released by the pituitary gland. Unlike the peptides that only stimulate the pituitary, it is the hormone itself and works without the pituitary's help. The same substance is the active ingredient of prescription medicines; we sell it as research material, not as a medicine.

What is in the vial and which to choose

Bio-Peptide fills 4 mg, which is 12 IU, into a vial with two ampoules of solvent, for 25 EUR. Nouveaux Ltd. packs 12 mg, which is 36 IU, into a two-chamber cartridge with 1 ml of solvent, for 90 EUR. One international unit therefore costs 2.08 EUR from Bio-Peptide and 2.50 EUR from Nouveaux, so here the larger pack is the more expensive one per unit.

Version Contents Price Per IU
Bio-Peptide, vial 4 mg, 12 IU 25 EUR 2.08 EUR
Nouveaux Ltd., cartridge 12 mg, 36 IU 90 EUR 2.50 EUR

The Nouveaux cartridge wins on supply and convenience: powder and solvent mix inside the cartridge with no transfer, and the concentration is always 36 IU per millilitre. The Bio-Peptide vial gives a choice: 12 IU per millilitre with one ampoule or 6 IU with two, which is 0.12 or 0.06 IU per unit on a U-100 syringe. The arithmetic is in the guide on reconstitution.

Milligrams and units

The international standard for somatropin is 3 IU per milligram, so 4 mg is 12 IU and 12 mg is 36 IU. Medicines are labelled the same way: Genotropin 5.3 mg carries 16 IU on the box. Older tables used 2.7 IU per milligram, so it is worth checking the conversion when comparing them with current ones.

What the data on somatropin show

Somatropin is an approved medicine with a full label based on clinical trials. The US label for Genotropin covers children with growth failure, including growth hormone deficiency, Turner syndrome and Prader-Willi syndrome, and adults with growth hormone deficiency. In adults the dose is adjusted to the level of IGF-1, the protein through which growth hormone produces much of its effect.

That is what sets rHGH apart from the rest of the group. GHRH analogues such as CJC-1295 and sermorelin, and GHRP peptides such as ipamorelin, work only as far as the pituitary responds. The whole group is listed under growth hormone peptides.

What the data do not show

The label describes treatment of deficiency and growth disorders under a doctor's supervision, with doses calculated per kilogram of body weight or a starting dose of about 0.2 mg a day in adults. That is neither a dose for people without a deficiency nor a recommendation for research material.

Status

Somatropin medicines such as Genotropin are prescription-only. Our vials and cartridges are not a medicine but research material with the same substance. In sport growth hormone is banned at all times: the World Anti-Doping Agency list for 2026 names it in group S2.2.3, together with its analogues and fragments. We publish no dosing schedules.

Handling and verification

The medicine label says to keep somatropin refrigerated at 2 to 8 degrees, protect it from light and not shake it, because a large protein does not tolerate foaming. General rules are in how to store peptides. Check the code on the box as described in check your product. We ship within Poland and abroad; outside Poland shipping costs 30 EUR paid in advance or 80 EUR cash on delivery, the same for every country. Details: shipping and payments.

Questions

How many IU are in 1 mg of growth hormone?

By the international standard for somatropin, 1 mg is 3 IU, so 4 mg is 12 IU and 12 mg is 36 IU.

Which rHGH is cheaper?

Per unit, the Bio-Peptide vial: 2.08 EUR per IU against 2.50 EUR in the Nouveaux cartridge.

How is rHGH different from ipamorelin and CJC-1295?

rHGH is ready-made growth hormone, while ipamorelin and CJC-1295 only stimulate the pituitary to release its own.

Is growth hormone allowed in sport?

No. The World Anti-Doping Agency list for 2026 bans it at all times in group S2.2.3.
