What is in the vial
Bio-Peptide is the only manufacturer offering semaglutide here, in a 3 mg vial of lyophilised powder. That is a small vial by the standards of this catalogue, and it is small for a reason: the registered medicine is dosed in milligrams per week, not per injection. What the trials showed
In obesity trials, semaglutide at 2.4 mg once weekly reduced body weight by roughly 15 percent over about two years, against 2 to 3 percent on placebo, in people with obesity or overweight without diabetes. In the only head-to-head trial against tirzepatide, SURMOUNT-5, it reached 13.7 percent over 72 weeks against 20.2 percent for tirzepatide.
The dose is escalated gradually to limit side effects, which are dominated by the digestive tract: nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea and constipation.
Status, stated plainly
Semaglutide is sold as a medicine under the names Ozempic, approved for type 2 diabetes, and Wegovy, approved for obesity and for overweight with comorbidities. Both are prescription-only. A vial of research material is not those products: it lacks their manufacturing controls, their dose and their product information. Tirzepatide acts on two receptors and beat semaglutide in the only head-to-head trial; retatrutide acts on three and has finished phase 3 without approval anywhere.
