Why this pair is combined most often
The set joins two peptides with complementary mechanisms. CJC-1295 is a tetrasubstituted analogue of growth hormone releasing hormone, designed to be more stable in plasma than the natural hormone, and it acts on the GHRH receptor. Ipamorelin is a ghrelin mimetic and acts on the growth hormone secretagogue receptor. Stimulating the two pituitary receptors at once gives a larger growth hormone pulse than either peptide alone.
Of the possible GHRP partners, ipamorelin is the neutral one. In the pig study that first described it (Raun and colleagues, European Journal of Endocrinology, 1998), it released growth hormone but, unlike GHRP-2 and GHRP-6, did not raise ACTH or cortisol, and it gives minimal appetite stimulation. That is why this pairing is chosen when the aim is the growth hormone pulse itself, without the hunger or the hormonal side effects of the older GHRPs.
What is and is not known
No clinical trial has been published for this specific set. For ipamorelin alone there is one completed human trial, in postoperative ileus, which missed its endpoint; for CJC-1295 the human data come down to one phase 1 study from 2006. We therefore promise no effects and no length of use for the set, and we publish no dosing schedule. Both peptides are on the World Anti-Doping Agency list in category S2, prohibited at all times.

Two pathways in one cell: what the studies show
Ipamorelin and CJC-1295 reach the same pituitary cell, but through two different receptors. Stimulating the GHRH receptor raises cyclic AMP and opens calcium channels. Stimulating the ghrelin receptor works mainly through protein kinase C and a separate calcium-dependent pathway. When both start at once, the growth hormone pulse is stronger than the sum of the two separately.

The last row concerns the version with the DAC linker, which acts for many days. The version without DAC acts briefly, like ipamorelin, so both components then give a pulse at the same time. The maker of the cartridge does not state which version of CJC-1295 it used or in what ratio.
What has not been studied for this pair
As of April 2026, no randomised human studies of the CJC-1295 and ipamorelin combination had been published. The mechanism, meaning the cooperation of two receptors, has been studied, and so has each component separately. The end effect of the pair in humans has not: body composition, strength, sleep or safety over many months. Both peptides are on the WADA list in category S2, banned at all times.
