What is in this vial
Both brands of MGF here come in the same 5 mg vial, so the choice between them is a choice of manufacturer and price, not of quantity. The powder has no concentration of its own: it is set when you add the water. This vial with 2 ml of bacteriostatic water gives 2.5 mg per millilitre, and with twice that volume, half as much.

Genheal as the manufacturer
Genheal covers the growth hormone axis more completely than the other two brands and is the only one here supplying the BPC-157 and TB-500 blend and tesamorelin. Its vials carry a code under the hologram and a batch certificate, checked the same way as any other brand in this shop.
What the evidence says

Genheal is the second of the two brands filling unmodified MGF here; Nouveaux Ltd. lists only the pegylated form. Whichever brand you take, the practical question with this molecule is not shelf life of the powder but what happens after it is dissolved.

Where MGF comes from in the body
The IGF-1 gene does not code for a single molecule. It undergoes alternative splicing, and depending on which stretches are joined, different variants of the protein are made. One of them is the IGF-1Ec isoform, and MGF is the terminal fragment of its E-peptide, 24 amino acids long.
The signal that switches on this variant is mechanical load, hence the name mechano growth factor. MGF is therefore not a separate molecule from a separate gene, but a product of the same gene read differently; this was described, among others, in a paper published in PLOS One.
What the data show and what they do not
The human data available are observational studies measuring the body's own MGF expression after exercise, not the effect of giving the peptide from outside. In addition, one independent laboratory found no proliferative effect on primary human myoblasts, the precursor cells of muscle. That undermines some of the mechanistic claims repeated in sales copy, so we do not write that MGF acts locally on damaged fibres.

Preparation and storage
Wipe the rubber stopper with an alcohol swab and let it dry. Add the solvent slowly down the inside wall of the vial, not straight onto the powder. Leave the vial for a few minutes and let the contents dissolve on their own, without shaking. Keep the finished solution in the fridge at 2 to 8 degrees Celsius, away from light.

You want to work with the molecule in its unmodified form: this is the vial. You want the simplest set without choosing a concentration: this one too. You care about a longer duration of action: take PEG-MGF.
MGF beyond skeletal muscle: studies of the heart
MGF is made from the IGF-1 gene not only in skeletal muscle. Its end fragment, called the E peptide, has also been studied in heart muscle after a heart attack. This work is less known than the debate over skeletal muscle, but it gives concrete numbers.

The first result comes from a large animal, not a rodent. The second shows the mechanism: fragment E protected heart muscle cells from dying.
Both papers concern animals and the E peptide alone, not giving MGF to people. They do show, though, that this fragment has a biological effect beyond skeletal muscle as well. In skeletal muscle the results are mixed: one laboratory described stimulation of cells, and an independent team did not confirm it. This is covered in more detail in the guide MGF and PEG-MGF.
