What is in this vial
All three brands of GHRP-6 here come in the same 10 mg vial, so the choice between them is a choice of manufacturer and price, not of quantity. The powder has no concentration of its own: it is set when you add the water. This vial with 2 ml of bacteriostatic water gives 5 mg per millilitre, and with twice that volume, half as much.

Genheal as the manufacturer

Where the hunger after GHRP-6 comes from
Ghrelin is a hormone released mainly by the stomach and known as the hunger hormone. Its level rises before a meal and falls after it. It acts through the receptor labelled GHS-R1a, present in the pituitary and in the hypothalamus. Stimulating this receptor has two effects at once: growth hormone release from the pituitary and a hunger signal from the hypothalamus.
GHRP-6 is a synthetic hexapeptide, a molecule of six amino acids, that stimulates the same receptor. It imitates ghrelin more literally than the newer compounds in this group. That is where its reputation as the peptide that makes you most hungry comes from, and where its use in mass-building phases comes from.
The appetite window: hunger after GHRP-6 starts 15 to 20 minutes after injection. If you plan to use this effect, have the meal ready beforehand rather than starting to cook when you feel it.
Who this profile helps and who it hinders
Someone with a very fast metabolism who does not gain weight even on 4000 calories has here a tool aimed exactly at their problem. So does someone after an illness or a period when appetite dropped. In a fat-loss phase it looks the other way round: a peptide that increases hunger works against the goal. Then ipamorelin, with minimal appetite stimulation, or GHRP-2, with moderate appetite, make more sense.
What about growth hormone itself
In peak growth hormone concentration per injection, GHRP-6 gives an amplitude comparable to ipamorelin or higher, while GHRP-2 is regarded as the strongest of the three. The differences in the size of the pulse are smaller than the differences in side effects, which is why the choice between these peptides is usually made on appetite and hormonal profile rather than on amplitude. GHRP-6, GHRP-2 and hexarelin raise cortisol and prolactin dose-dependently; ipamorelin is the only one of the four that does not.

GHRP-6 at night: two studies with sleep recording
A team in Munich twice tested what GHRP-6 does during sleep. Healthy men slept in the laboratory while the researchers measured hormones and EEG sleep recordings through the night. The first study, from 1995 in Neuroendocrinology, compared intravenous GHRP-6 with placebo.

Growth hormone rose almost threefold. GHRP-6 also added light sleep. Cortisol more than doubled at the same time, which shows that GHRP-6 also acts on the stress axis.
The route by which the peptide enters the body matters
The second study, from 1999 in the Journal of Neuroendocrinology, tested three routes of administration in the evening in young men.
- Into the nose: a significant rise in growth hormone through the night.
- Under the tongue: only a trend towards a rise in the first half of the night.
- By mouth in a capsule: no change in growth hormone.
Nasal dosing also showed a trend towards a rise in ACTH. The authors concluded that the effect of GHRP-6 depends on the dose, timing and route of administration. Five sleep studies of peptides in this group are set side by side in the guide Growth hormone peptides and sleep.
