CJC-1295, 5 mg. CJC-1295 is a synthetic analogue of growth hormone releasing hormone that stimulates the pituitary receptor for that hormone.

What is in this vial

It is the smaller of the CJC-1295 vials sold here, which means less substance standing in solution at a time. The powder has no concentration of its own: it is set when you add the water. This vial with 2 ml of bacteriostatic water gives 2.5 mg per millilitre, and with twice that volume, half as much.

The conversion of an amount into insulin syringe units is worked through in the guide on syringe units, and the rules that change once the powder is dissolved are in storage.

Bio-Peptide as the manufacturer

Bio-Peptide has the widest catalogue of the three brands we stock: it is the only one supplying glutathione, NAD+, GHK-Cu, MOTS-C, SLU-PP-332 and semaglutide, so an order from this manufacturer can usually be filled from one supplier. Every vial carries a code under the hologram and a batch certificate, and how to check both is described on the verification page.

What the evidence says

The often quoted half-life of 5.8 to 8.1 days was measured on the form with DAC, not on this one. This version acts briefly and is meant to imitate the body's own pulses. The full account, with the sources and the limits, is on the CJC-1295 page, and the background in the guide on CJC-1295 with DAC or without.

We publish no dosing schedules. Sold as research material, not as a medicine.

Bio-Peptide fills CJC-1295 only in the version without DAC, in a 5 mg vial. If the long-acting DAC form is what you are after, it comes from Genheal or Nouveaux Ltd. instead, and the difference between the two forms is duration rather than strength.

Concentration in this vial

Water added Concentration Per unit on a U-100 syringe
1 ml 5 mg/ml 50 mcg
2 ml 2.5 mg/ml 25 mcg
5 ml 1 mg/ml 10 mcg

The table is arithmetic and nothing else: it converts the 5 mg in this vial into the concentration you get for a chosen volume of bacteriostatic water. It is not a dosing recommendation, and we publish none.

This vial next to the other CJC-1295 vials

The same compound is sold here in two other versions: Genheal, 5 mg and Nouveaux Ltd., 10 mg. The molecule is identical in each; what differs is the manufacturer and the amount in the vial. This is the smallest of the 3, so less substance stands in solution at a time.

Also from Bio-Peptide in this group

Within Growth hormone peptides, Bio-Peptide also supplies GHRP-2 10 mg, GHRP-6 10 mg and GHRP-6 and CJC-1295 10 mg.

Why short action can be a choice, not a flaw

The body does not keep growth hormone at a steady level. It releases it in bursts spread over the day, with the largest one at night, after falling asleep. A short-acting peptide fits into that rhythm instead of replacing it.

The version without DAC has a plasma half-life of about 30 minutes. It occupies the GHRH receptor in a narrow window around the injection and then gives way. The result is a short pulse of growth hormone rather than a level held for many days. Anyone who sees the physiological rhythm as important chooses this form and accepts more frequent administration, so the vial is used up faster than with the DAC version.

CJC-1295 without DAC and Mod GRF 1-29

In practice the two names describe the same way of working: a short-acting GHRH analogue without the albumin-binding linker. The differences come down to the naming used by manufacturers and to pack sizes. Both names appear in our range, so compare above all the milligrams in the vial and the number of ampoules.

Measuring with 5 mg in the vial

The Bio-Peptide box holds two solvent ampoules. Dissolved in 1 ml, the vial gives 5000 mcg per ml, or 50 mcg per syringe unit; in 2 ml it gives 2500 mcg per ml, or 25 mcg per unit. With 5 mg, half of a typical 10 mg pack, the ratios are half of what habit suggests.

State of knowledge and status

Human data for CJC-1295 are very limited. They come down to one phase 1 study from 2006, and there are no completed phase 2 or phase 3 trials for either form. On the World Anti-Doping Agency list it is in category S2, prohibited at all times, including out of competition.

Who this vial is for

You want short action and control over timing: this is the vial. You measure small portions and want a fine scale: two ampoules give you 25 mcg per unit. You would rather inject once a week: take CJC-1295 with DAC. You need a bigger pack: there are 10 mg versions.

What the DAC linker changes: the study that created CJC-1295

The name CJC-1295 comes from a paper published in 2005 in Endocrinology. The researchers took a tetrasubstituted version of the hormone GRF 1-29 and attached a group that binds to albumin, a blood protein, after injection. They called this albumin-binding variant CJC-1295.

What was measured in rats Result
Growth hormone over 2 hours compared with GRF 1-29 about 4 times more
Binding to albumin visible after 15 minutes, maintained for over 24 hours
Presence in plasma over 72 hours
Resistance to the enzyme DPP-4 higher than GRF 1-29

This vial contains CJC-1295 without DAC, meaning the tetrasubstituted chain alone, without the albumin-binding group. It keeps the protection from DPP-4 given by D-alanine at position two. It does not bind albumin, though, so it does not circulate in the blood for days but acts briefly. The long action in the table is a feature of the DAC version.

What this means when choosing

Short action means a growth hormone pulse in the rhythm of the doses, similar to the natural pulses. The DAC version gives a rise that lasts many days. In healthy adults in a 2006 study, one injection of the DAC version raised IGF-1 for 9 to 11 days. That study, however, concerns the DAC version, not the contents of this vial.

The version without DAC is chemically the same as Mod GRF 1-29 and is often combined with a peptide from the GHRP group, for example ipamorelin. The differences between the two versions are described in the guide CJC-1295 with or without DAC.

Questions

How much CJC-1295 is in this vial?

5 mg of lyophilised powder from Bio-Peptide, in one vial.

What concentration does 2 ml of water give?

2.5 mg per millilitre, which is 25 mcg per unit on a U-100 insulin syringe. Other volumes are in the table above.

Is this the same molecule as the Genheal vial?

Yes. CJC-1295 is the same compound in every vial here, and both hold 5 mg. What differs is the manufacturer and the batch certificate that comes with it.
