Sermorelin, 10 mg. Sermorelin, also known as GRF 1-29, is an analogue of the first 29 amino acids of growth hormone releasing hormone, and it was once a registered medicine. Nouveaux Ltd. supplies it as a dual-chamber cartridge, with the solvent already in the pack.

What is in the pack
It is the largest Sermorelin pack in this catalogue, at the same price per milligram as the 5 mg vials, and also the one that stands longest in solution once opened. Nouveaux Ltd. supplies this product as a dual-chamber cartridge: 10 mg of freeze-dried powder in one chamber and 1 ml of solvent in the other. The chambers are joined just before first use, so no liquid has to be moved from one container to another. After activation with the included millilitre the solution stands at 10 mg per millilitre, which is 100 mcg per unit on a U-100 syringe.
The conversion of an amount into insulin syringe units is worked through in the guide on syringe units, and the rules that change once the powder is dissolved are in storage.
Nouveaux Ltd. as the manufacturer
Nouveaux Ltd. has the narrowest catalogue of the three and the largest packs: BPC-157 20 mg, CJC-1295 10 mg, sermorelin 10 mg, PEG-MGF 10 mg and follistatin 2 mg are all exclusive to this brand here. A larger pack costs less per milligram, and it also stands longer once dissolved, which is the trade-off to weigh before ordering.
What the evidence says
It was approved in the United States as Geref in 1990 and 1997, and the approval was withdrawn in 2009 for commercial reasons, not for safety or effectiveness. No registered sermorelin product exists today. The full account, with the sources and the limits, is on the Sermorelin page, and the background in the guide on sermorelin and Mod GRF 1-29.
We publish no dosing schedules. Sold as research material, not as a medicine.
At 10 mg this is the largest sermorelin pack here, twice what Bio-Peptide and Genheal fill. With a peptide whose action is measured in minutes, pack size decides how many administrations one purchase covers rather than how strong each one is.
Concentration in this cartridge
| Total liquid | Concentration | Per unit on a U-100 syringe |
|---|---|---|
| 1 ml | 10 mg/ml | 100 mcg |
| 2 ml | 5 mg/ml | 50 mcg |
| 5 ml | 2 mg/ml | 20 mcg |
The table is arithmetic and nothing else: it converts the 10 mg in this cartridge into the concentration for a given total volume of liquid. The 1 ml row is the cartridge as supplied, after the chambers are joined; the other rows show what further dilution would give. It is not a dosing recommendation, and we publish none.
This cartridge next to the Sermorelin vials
The same compound is sold here in two other versions: Bio-Peptide, 5 mg and Genheal, 5 mg. The molecule is identical in each; what differs is the manufacturer, the form of the pack and the amount. This is the largest of the 3 packs, at the same price per milligram as the 5 mg vials, and the one that stands longest in solution.
Also from Nouveaux Ltd. in this group
Within Growth hormone peptides, Nouveaux Ltd. also supplies CJC-1295 10 mg, CJC-1295 with DAC 10 mg and GHRP-2 10 mg.
What sermorelin is
Sermorelin is a GHRH analogue, an analogue of growth hormone releasing hormone. Its other name, GRF 1-29, points to the opening section of that molecule. It belongs to the same group as CJC-1295, Mod GRF 1-29 and tesamorelin, not to the secretagogues acting through the ghrelin receptor such as GHRP-2, GHRP-6 or ipamorelin. The two groups stimulate the pituitary through two different receptors, which is why they are put together rather than used instead of each other.
The history of Geref, confirmed in an FDA document
Sermorelin had full registration as a medicine in the United States, under two separate applications for different indications.
| Application | Approval date | Strength | Indication |
|---|---|---|---|
| NDA 19-863 | 28 December 1990 | 0.05 mg per ampoule | Assessing the pituitary's ability to release growth hormone, a diagnostic use |
| NDA 20-443 | 26 September 1997 | 0.5 mg and 1.0 mg per vial | Treatment of idiopathic growth hormone deficiency in children with growth failure |
EMD Serono notified the agency in July 2008 that it had stopped making the diagnostic form, and in December 2008 that it was withdrawing the treatment forms. Withdrawal of approval for both applications was announced in May 2009, effective 18 June that year. In a document dated 4 March 2013 the agency stated plainly that Geref was not withdrawn for reasons of safety or effectiveness; the reason was commercial, as recombinant growth hormone took over the market.
Where the line runs
The registration history concerns the medicine Geref, not this cartridge. Research material contains the same substance but has no established dose, batch documentation or the quality control required of a medicinal product. So we do not write that you are buying a medicine that was once registered. You are buying a substance that had registration in the form of a medicine, and that is a different sentence.
Who this cartridge is for
You want a larger pack of sermorelin: 10 mg is twice the 5 mg versions. You are interested in a molecule with a documented registration history: sermorelin is one of the few in this category with one. You are looking for a long-acting GHRH analogue: then CJC-1295 with DAC is the right one.
What sermorelin was used for as a drug
Sermorelin is the shortest synthetic peptide that keeps the full biological activity of GHRH. It has 29 amino acids, the opening section of the natural hormone. A 1999 review in the journal BioDrugs describes its two uses as the drug Geref.
| Use | What was described |
|---|---|
| Diagnostic test | a single intravenous dose checks whether the pituitary can release growth hormone |
| Treatment of children with growth hormone deficiency | an injection under the skin once a day before sleep |
| Result in children | growth rate significantly higher for 12 months, with the effect lasting 36 months in some children |
| Side effects | most often temporary facial flushing and pain at the injection site |
The treatment of children is the best evidence that sermorelin works in humans over a longer time. The pituitary of a child with deficiency responded to it with its own growth hormone for months and years, and the effect was measured in centimetres of height. The injection was given before sleep, and the largest natural release of growth hormone falls in exactly the first part of the night.
Studies in older people
The same molecule was also studied in older adults, whose pituitary still responds well to GHRH. In a 1992 study, two injections a day for 14 days brought older men's growth hormone and IGF-1 back to the level of young men. Sermorelin sold as research material is not the drug Geref, and choosing a dose is a matter for a doctor. Studies in older people are described in the guide Peptides after 40.

Questions
How much Sermorelin is in this cartridge?
10 mg of lyophilised powder from Nouveaux Ltd., in a dual-chamber cartridge with 1 ml of solvent.
What concentration does the included millilitre give?
10 mg per millilitre, which is 100 mcg per unit on a U-100 insulin syringe. Other volumes are in the table above.
Is this the same molecule as the Bio-Peptide vial?
Yes. Sermorelin is the same compound in every pack here. The difference is the manufacturer and the amount: 10 mg in this one against 5 mg in that one.
Verification and delivery
Every pack carries a code under the hologram and comes from a batch with a certificate of analysis; how to check both is described in check your product. We ship within Poland and abroad. Outside Poland shipping costs 30 EUR paid in advance or 80 EUR cash on delivery, the same for every country: shipping and payments.
