This category holds twelve products, and they are not one thing. Three are incretin molecules with large phase 3 trials behind them, sold here as research material. The rest are compounds with far thinner evidence, from a fragment of growth hormone to two experimental metabolic molecules.

Nothing here is sold as a medicine. Semaglutide and tirzepatide are prescription medicines in registered form, and retatrutide is not approved for sale anywhere. The mechanism of the incretin group is explained in the guide on GLP-1 and incretins.

The incretin group: one, two or three receptors

Semaglutide stimulates one receptor, GLP-1. Tirzepatide adds GIP. Retatrutide adds a third, the glucagon receptor. In trials, each widening of that set went together with a larger average weight reduction: roughly 15% over about two years for semaglutide at 2.4 mg, 20.9% over 72 weeks for tirzepatide at 15 mg, and 25.0% over 80 weeks for retatrutide at 12 mg.

Those numbers come from separate trials with different participants and different durations, so they show a direction rather than the result of a contest. The only head-to-head comparison in the group, SURMOUNT-5, put tirzepatide at 20.2% against semaglutide at 13.7% over 72 weeks. The full comparison is in semaglutide, tirzepatide or retatrutide, and the retatrutide programme in retatrutide phase 3.

The rest of the category

HGH Fragment 176-191 is the tail end of the growth hormone molecule, the part linked to fat breakdown. In obese mice, in its modified version AOD9604, it reduced body weight and body fat. In humans AOD9604 missed the main endpoint of a phase 2b trial, and its development was stopped in 2007. Details are in the article on growth hormone axis peptides and in the guide to HGH Fragment 176-191.

MOTS-C and SLU-PP-332 are metabolic molecules studied in animals and cells. They have no completed human efficacy trials, and anything written about their effect on body weight in people is extrapolation, not measurement.

What this category does not promise

Selling a molecule as research material does not make it a slimming product. As medicines, semaglutide and tirzepatide are dispensed on prescription, after a doctor has assessed indications and contraindications. Retatrutide has no approval anywhere; its manufacturer plans to file in the United States in the first quarter of 2027.

The side effect profile of the incretin group is dominated by the digestive tract: nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea and constipation. In the retatrutide trial at the highest dose, 42.4% of participants reported nausea and 11.3% stopped treatment because of side effects.

Practical notes

All of these except the two Nouveaux Ltd. pens arrive as lyophilised powder and need reconstituting before use in research. Concentration follows from how much water you add: a 20 mg vial with 2 ml gives 10 mg per millilitre. The procedure is in reconstituting a peptide, and storage limits in storing peptides.

Frequently asked questions

Which of these gives the largest weight reduction in trials?

Retatrutide, at 25.0% over 80 weeks at the 12 mg dose. Tirzepatide reached 20.9% over 72 weeks and semaglutide about 15% over roughly two years, in separate trials.

Are these the same as Ozempic, Wegovy or Mounjaro?

They are the same molecules, but not the same products. Registered medicines are manufactured, tested and released under pharmaceutical rules; research material is not, and its labelling does not change the legal status of the substance.

Do MOTS-C and SLU-PP-332 work for weight loss?

There are no completed human efficacy trials for either. What is known comes from animal and cell studies.

Does HGH Fragment 176-191 burn fat?

In mice, in its modified version AOD9604, it reduced body weight and body fat. In humans AOD9604 missed the main endpoint of a phase 2b trial.

Can I order these from outside Poland?

Yes, with shipping at 30 EUR paid in advance or 80 EUR cash on delivery. Check first whether the molecule is a prescription medicine where you live.
